     ANNUAL REPORT OF KITANDILILO DISPENSARY FOR 2004:

INTRODUCTION:

I always give thanks to God for his grace that we have life. He anabled us for the whole of 2004 to continue with his work of healing.

This is eleventh (11) report since the dispensary started on 8^th November 1993

THE DISPENSARY STAFF:

PHC  STAFF:

1. Amani  Muwucha                                          -            Village Health worker
2. Enesia Njachule                                             -            Village Health worker

·         Rhoda Njogolo deperted to school of dental nursing on 3^rd jan 2005
·         Amani Muwucha left the job due to health problem then died at the end of last year due to abdominal disease.

SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE DISPENSARY:

1.       Treatment of all patient.
2.       Care of under five children and pregnant mothers.
3.       Birth services (Care of pregnant mothers during bearing)
4.       Emergency dental services (Oral care)
5.       Laboratory services.
6.       Family planning services.
7.       General hearth education to the community and schools.

5.       Minor Surgical Cordition
6.       Pneumonias
7.       Diarrhoeal diseases

9.       Urinary Tract Infection
10.   Skin Infection

RUNNING THE DISPENSARY:

The dispensary is running itself on different works, Buying drugs, Paying workers and other dispensary expenses. 
On building side the villagers playing a big role with our partnership (Ismaning) and the dispensary itself.

THE DISPENSARY BUILDING:

We have 7 buildings, Two for dispensary, One for patients relatives and Four for dispensary workers- most of the buildings need renovation (We are on the way to complete)

PROBLEMS:

1.             LABORATORY SERVICES:

Was a big problem-now is nearly to be solved.

2.             TRANSPORT:

Our dispensary is very far from the main hospital Ilembula (80 km) Sometimes it becomes difficult to refer our patients, especially pregnant mothers when they get complication or failure to deliver (bear) at our  Unity also all dispensary requirements found at Makambako (35 km) 

ACHIEVEMENT:

We have reduced the problem of health services to our people for treating all diseases which are possible to be treated at our dispensary. Maternal and child health clinic, Laboratory services, Oral care, Family planning  services and health education. We have succeeded to run the dispensary a whole year.

PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE:

We are planning to establish all health services provided by the dispensary.

We are planning to build a Laboratory house, to buy Laboratory equipments and materials, to renovate all dispensary buildings and workers houses, also to educate a Laboratory Technician. All these will be done by the help from partnership Ismaning.
